CLERK OF WORKS About Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a faith-based health solutions organization established through an ecumenical partnership between the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK). Since 1986, MEDS has maintained its commitment to delivering dependable, quality, and affordable health products and technologies across Kenya, throughout Africa, and internationally. The organization specializes in health product supply, quality assurance services, and health systems strengthening initiatives. The Role MEDS is currently overseeing a significant construction project in Kisumu County involving the development of a specialized warehousing facility for health products and technologies, alongside a new office building. The Clerk of Works will play a pivotal role in this initiative, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Key Responsibilities You will serve as the primary supervisor ensuring all construction activities align precisely with approved project plans and technical specifications. Your core duties include maintaining rigorous quality standards, enforcing comprehensive safety protocols, and guaranteeing compliance with all regulatory requirements throughout the construction process. You will monitor work progress, verify material quality, document construction activities, and coordinate between the contractor and project stakeholders to ensure timely, professional completion. Position Details This is a fixed-term contract position spanning 12 months, with potential for extension based on performance and project requirements.
