EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE MANAGER Jacaranda Health | Nairobi, Kenya THE OPPORTUNITY Jacaranda Health is seeking an Employee Experience Manager to design and deliver our core people programmes, with a strong emphasis on performance management. You will shape how our staff experience work by ensuring that performance, culture, engagement, and learning practices translate into consistent, high-quality experiences across the entire organisation. In this hands-on role, you will own the complete performance management cycle, working closely with managers to build a robust performance culture, develop management capability, and ensure fair and consistent application of our frameworks. You will also coordinate strategic initiatives spanning employee engagement, wellbeing, learning and development, and talent processes. This position requires someone who can combine strong HR advisory expertise with excellent execution skills—refining systems, coaching managers, and delivering programmes that meaningfully strengthen our organisational effectiveness. THE ROLE Performance & Talent Management You will drive the end-to-end performance management cycle from planning through manager enablement, mid-cycle reviews, and year-end processes. You'll coach managers on objective-setting, facilitate effective performance conversations, and manage complex performance cases including Performance Improvement Plans. You will lead continuous improvements to performance management processes and tools, coordinate promotion reviews and career development pathways, and support internal mobility across the organisation. Culture & Engagement You will manage our employee engagement calendar, coordinating surveys, pulse checks, recognition initiatives, and feedback mechanisms. Leading our employee wellbeing programme, you'll track participation and measure impact while serving as a key contact for all employee experience matters. You will actively contribute to strengthening our organisational culture through thoughtful, people-centered initiatives. Learning & Development You will translate our L&D strategy into actionable annual training plans and ensure timely execution. Supporting managers in embedding development conversations into regular team routines, you'll oversee training coordination, manage vendor relationships, and maintain comprehensive learning records. You will lead the rollout of HR frameworks and policy-related training across the organisation. Talent Acquisition & Job Architecture You will support recruitment processes from role design through to offer stage, ensuring alignment with our growth needs. You will maintain consistency in job evaluation, grading, and documentation while tracking recruitment metrics and supporting employer branding efforts. Team Leadership & HR Advisory You will supervise and develop the Senior HR Coordinator – Employee Experience, providing HR advisory support to managers on employee-related matters. You will identify and implement process improvements, including exploring HR technology and AI tools to enhance efficiency. You will contribute to broader HR initiatives as required. ABOUT YOU What You Bring You hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. Professional HR certification such as CHRP (K) is advantageous. You bring a minimum of five years of progressive HR experience, including demonstrated expertise in performance management and generalist or advisory roles. You have led a complete performance management cycle end-to-end and have a proven track record of driving meaningful improvements in HR processes and systems. Experience in multi-site or multi-country environments is a plus. Your Strengths You possess strong HR advisory and coaching capabilities with excellent communication and documentation skills. You are structured and highly organised, managing multiple priorities with ease. You think analytically, using data to inform your decisions and drive action.
