Job Description

Sokify is hiring a Facility Officer About the Organization Humanity & Inclusion has been making a real difference in Kenya since 1992. Working primarily in refugee camps across the country, the organization serves the most vulnerable populations while championing disability rights. Current initiatives include combating sexual violence against children with disabilities, strengthening maternal and child health services, and creating pathways for employment and political participation among people with disabilities. The organization operates with a dedicated team of 69 staff members dedicated to these vital causes. The Opportunity Are you an organized, proactive professional ready to keep operations running smoothly? Humanity & Inclusion is looking for a Facility Officer to join their team in Dadaab, reporting directly to the Logistics Manager. You'll be the backbone of logistics and facility support services, ensuring HI personnel have what they need to do their important work. This is more than logistics management—you'll help establish professional standards across the organization while contributing to a major operational restructuring initiative called the ROOTS project. What You'll Do You'll wear multiple hats in this strategic role. Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing facilities management components within our operational strategy, implementing risk assessments and mitigation plans, and producing performance dashboards. You'll ensure all equipment functions optimally through planned maintenance schedules and repairs, keeping everything in top condition. You'll also champion organizational standards across your area of responsibility, adapting HI's established practices to suit local conditions and regulations. During the program lifecycle—from initial assessment through project closure—you'll analyze logistics capacity, plan resource requirements, coordinate implementation, and handle archive management and asset returns. Beyond the operational side, you'll contribute to a community of practice that strengthens the logistics profession sector. When emergencies arise, you'll pivot quickly to support HI's humanitarian response efforts. What We're Looking For You need a Bachelor's degree and proven expertise in three key areas: quality control and supervision, logistics planning and management, and project implementation. You're detail-oriented, solution-focused, and able to identify issues before they become problems. Your communication skills allow you to work effectively across teams, and you're committed to upholding both organizational standards and donor compliance requirements.
