Job Description
FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - PHILIPS
Position Overview
Sokify is pleased to feature this opportunity for a Field Service Engineer with Philips, a global leader in health technology. In this pivotal role, you will be the technical backbone supporting Philips' diagnostic imaging systems across customer installations. You'll combine hands-on engineering expertise with customer relationship management to ensure imaging equipment operates at peak performance, maintaining system reliability and clinical safety while driving customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
You will provide comprehensive field service support for Philips imaging systems, managing complete service cases from initial troubleshooting through final resolution. Your technical expertise will encompass installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, software and hardware upgrades, and system diagnostics using approved tools and structured problem-solving approaches. You'll work across multiple technologies and settings—at customer sites, remotely, or through Philips Remote Service channels—to minimize downtime and restore critical clinical operations.
Regulatory compliance and quality excellence are central to this role. You will ensure all equipment meets Philips standards, medical device regulations, radiation safety protocols, and MR safety requirements, with meticulous documentation and service records. You'll maintain accurate parts inventory and full traceability of all diagnostics and repairs.
Building strong customer partnerships forms another core pillar of your work. You'll manage technical escalations effectively, communicate complex issues clearly, set appropriate expectations, and help customers understand the operational impact of equipment downtime. Beyond individual service calls, you'll contribute to team success by sharing technical knowledge, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, adopting new technologies, and identifying commercial opportunities such as service upgrades and equipment lifecycle replacements.
What We're Looking For
You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Biomedical, or Mechatronics), Medical Sciences, or a related scientific field. You bring minimum four years of customer-facing experience in an engineering, medical, or science-related environment, with direct hands-on experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment such as MRI, CT, X-ray, Cath Lab/IGT systems, or Nuclear Medicine units. Your background includes work in either field service settings or hospital biomedical and clinical engineering departments.
You're proficient with service management platforms such as ServiceMax or equivalent CRM and field service management systems, and you're comfortable with remote service tools. OEM modality training certificates are essential, with multimodality certification preferred. IT and networking certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA represent additional valuable qualifications.
How This Works
This is a field-based role, so you'll spend the majority of your time working at customer locations and supplier sites rather than in office settings. Philips believes in the power of working together, and for office-based team members, in-person presence is expected at least three days per week. Field roles operate most effectively in the field environment where you'll be supporting customers directly.
