Job Description
FLEET MANAGER
Innovis Holdings Pte Ltd (Innovis Telecom Services Group)
Nairobi, Kenya | Nationwide Coverage
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a driven, detail-oriented Fleet Manager to take charge of our vehicle operations across Kenya. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll manage every aspect of our mixed fleet — from daily operations and maintenance coordination to compliance and cost optimization. You'll work with a variety of vehicles including 4x4 pickups and 2x4 models, keeping them roadworthy, safe, and productive across different regions. Success in this role means maintaining our fleet's availability while controlling costs and ensuring strict adherence to NTSA standards.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Fleet Operations & Maintenance
Oversee the daily operations of our vehicle fleet, ensuring all units remain functional, safe, and ready for deployment. Manage a diverse fleet comprising 4x4 vehicles (Mitsubishi L200, Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, Nissan X-Trail) and 2x4 vehicles (Toyota Probox, saloon cars, and similar models). Monitor vehicle allocation, utilization, and movement across regions. Create and execute preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate timely servicing and repairs, and manage breakdown responses nationwide. Build and maintain strong working relationships with mechanics, garages, and service providers throughout Kenya, securing cost-effective solutions without quality compromises.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure complete compliance with NTSA regulations covering vehicle inspections, insurance, licensing, logbook management, and road safety standards. Maintain organized, up-to-date vehicle records, service logs, and compliance documentation.
Reporting & Financial Management
Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly fleet reports analyzing vehicle performance, utilization rates, maintenance costs, breakdowns, and fuel consumption. Use Excel proficiently — including pivot tables, formulas, and dashboards — to track data and present insights. Monitor fuel consumption patterns, identify inefficiencies or misuse, and implement cost control measures. Track and analyze all fleet-related expenditures to optimize operational budgets.
Vendor & Stakeholder Relations
Manage relationships with fuel providers, insurance companies, leasing firms, and repair vendors. Negotiate service agreements and pricing with garages and suppliers to achieve favorable terms.
Driver Management & Safety
Work with drivers to ensure proper vehicle care and adherence to company policies. Provide basic training on vehicle maintenance and safety practices. Monitor driver performance and incident reports.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Proven Fleet Manager or equivalent experience in Kenya. Technical expertise with 4x4 pickups (Mitsubishi L200, Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, Nissan X-Trail) and 2x4 vehicles (Probox, saloon cars). An established network of mechanics and garages across Kenya. Strong knowledge of NTSA regulations and compliance requirements. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple locations simultaneously. Strong negotiation and cost management capabilities.
NICE TO HAVE
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Logistics, or related field. Experience managing fleets across multiple regions in Kenya. Familiarity with fleet management systems or GPS tracking tools.
