GENERAL MANAGER: RESIDENTIAL LIVING & HOSPITALITY Sokify is partnering with Macdonald & Company to recruit an exceptional General Manager to establish and lead a brand new Residential Living & Hospitality division. This is a foundational opportunity to build an entirely new business unit from the ground up, reporting directly to the CEO and setting the standard for urban residential living across Kenya. Macdonald & Company has spent over three decades building Kenya's property development landscape. They are now launching a transformative venture that combines premium property management, letting operations, and lifestyle services into one integrated offering. Beginning with a flagship residential project in Nairobi, this division will pioneer a new category of living experiences across East Africa—one that merges sophisticated hospitality practices with professional residential management. In this role, you will own the full scope of the business. Your responsibilities will span strategy development, operating model design, team building, leasing execution, amenity management, digital service platforms, and financial performance. You'll shape every element of the resident and investor experience, from initial lease to ongoing community engagement. This means developing sustainable service-charge models, optimizing financial returns, managing diverse teams, and fostering transparent relationships with both homeowners and capital partners. Your work will be measured by tangible satisfaction, retention, and value creation. This position is designed for a builder—someone with vision, operational discipline, and the resilience to create something entirely new. You will bring at least 15 years of leadership experience in property management or hospitality, with proven success in serviced residences, mixed-use developments, or branded residential environments.
