ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our vibrant Grand Market team as a Stock Person where your work directly contributes to creating an outstanding shopping experience. This position combines hands-on merchandising with customer interaction, offering the perfect blend of activity and engagement. You'll work in a dynamic environment where people are genuinely passionate about what they do and committed to delivering excellence every single day.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You'll keep our shelves well-stocked and product displays looking fresh by rotating inventory following established store procedures. When the registers need coverage, you'll step in to process transactions and handle checkout duties with efficiency and care. Customer service sits at the heart of what you'll do here, whether you're helping shoppers locate items, packing purchases with a smile, or answering product questions.
Beyond the sales floor, you'll maintain store cleanliness and organization across all areas including the back room, front-end displays, parking lot, entryways, and bathrooms. You'll manage vendor check-ins according to store procedures, assist in building and breaking down promotional displays, conduct price checks when needed, and maintain our cart corral by removing debris and monitoring equipment condition.
Your responsibilities also include operating store equipment safely and properly, understanding product locations throughout the market, and tackling special projects as assigned by management.
WHO YOU ARE
You communicate effectively both in writing and conversation, handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate genuine care for serving and developing those around you. You bring reliability, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit to everything you do. You're someone who values inclusion, fosters positive working relationships, and shows commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or equivalent, with previous retail or customer service experience preferred. You must understand basic computer operations for vendor check-in and be able to read and interpret product UPC codes. Strong math skills are essential, including the ability to work with whole numbers, percentages, fractions, and decimals.
You'll need excellent communication skills, the ability to analyze information and interpret company policies fairly and consistently, and the capacity to respond helpfully to questions from team members, management, guests, and the public.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
You'll be regularly required to talk, listen, see, and adjust focus for close and distance work. The role involves standing, walking, sitting, stooping, bending, and climbing as needed. You must be able to handle objects and tools, reach with your arms and hands, and occasionally lift or carry up to seventy pounds, such as bulk items or case cartons.
WHAT WE OFFER
We believe in developing our Associates and creating space where people can bring their whole selves to work. Our compensation package includes competitively priced health benefits and supplemental insurance options, parental leave, a 401k plan, tuition reimbursement, and birthday and anniversary recognition gifts. We operate with seven core values—Wisdom, Love, Respect, Truth, Humility, Bravery, and Honesty—and practice servant leadership that empowers decision-making and engagement at all levels.
