POSITION: Head of Commercial, Africa - Flavors COMPANY: Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) Sokify is partnering with Archer Daniels Midland Company, a global leader in food ingredients and nutrition solutions, to fill this exceptional senior leadership opportunity. ABOUT THE ROLE ADM's Flavors division is expanding its presence across Africa, and this role offers the chance to drive transformative growth across one of the company's most strategically important regions. As Head of Commercial for Africa, you will take full ownership of the flavors commercial organization and lead the development of a comprehensive growth strategy that positions Africa as a key revenue driver within the division. You'll manage a diverse portfolio spanning food and beverage ingredients, including flavors, colors, beverage solutions, and nutrition products. This leadership position combines hands-on commercial responsibility with significant visibility at the EMEA Executive Committee level, giving you the platform to influence organizational direction and strategy at the highest levels. LOCATION Nairobi, Kenya; Johannesburg, South Africa; or another ADM Flavors office located across Africa. The role requires frequent international travel. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will lead the regional flavors commercial team, overseeing a distributed leadership structure and ensuring strong market execution. You'll define and implement the Africa-wide commercial strategy and growth roadmap for the Flavors business, driving profitable revenue expansion and increased market share. Your strategic focus will include identifying and championing growth initiatives such as partnerships, joint ventures, and entry strategies into new markets. You'll deepen customer relationships across key food ingredient segments and build a high-performing, culturally diverse leadership team through coaching, development, and mentorship. Additionally, you'll collaborate across functions to strengthen regional infrastructure, including supply chain optimization and manufacturing capabilities. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR You bring extensive senior commercial leadership experience within the food ingredients, flavors, or beverage sectors, with a demonstrated ability to drive growth beyond traditional sales channels—through partnerships, joint ventures, and market development initiatives. You have a proven track record leading regional teams and the capability to balance strategic thinking with deep market and customer insight. Your stakeholder management skills are exceptional, and you're comfortable engaging confidently with executive-level leadership. You're fluent in English, with French language proficiency being highly advantageous.
