HEAD OF SALES & MARKETING - DIGITAL / COMMERCIAL PRINT Nairobi, Kenya Mood Group ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Mood Group is recruiting a Head of Sales & Marketing for a leading packaging and print manufacturer operating across East Africa. This senior management role offers complete ownership of the sales function, from strategy development to team leadership and revenue generation. You'll drive growth across digital print, commercial print, and emerging product lines while managing a portfolio of major corporate and institutional clients. WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead and mentor a team of Account Executives, setting performance standards and fostering professional growth. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies targeting digital print, commercial print, and new product lines. Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, agency, publisher, NGO, and SME segments. Manage key client relationships and oversee a substantial corporate and institutional client portfolio. Set ambitious revenue targets and deliver consistent results that meet or exceed annual objectives. Create competitive pricing strategies and ensure all sales proposals reflect quality and market positioning. Work closely with production and pre-press teams to guarantee accurate execution of client requirements. Monitor market trends and competitive activity to inform strategic planning and decision-making. Prepare accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasts and pipeline reports for senior leadership. Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and trade forums. Act as a strategic voice within the leadership team, contributing to overall business direction. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Proven track record of achieving or exceeding B2B sales targets at senior level. Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated success building and developing high-performing sales teams. Excellent commercial judgment, including understanding of P&L, margins, and strategic pricing models. Outstanding presentation, negotiation, and client relationship management skills. Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with high energy and drive. Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline (MBA advantageous). Experience in print, packaging, media, or related manufacturing and services sectors. Familiarity with digital printing technology is beneficial; technical training provided if required.
