About This Opportunity You'll take ownership of a critical function that underpins mill operations and business continuity. This role spans IT governance, technical infrastructure stewardship, business applications management, cybersecurity oversight, and regulatory compliance—all working toward one goal: keeping operations stable, secure, and efficient. Based at our client's FMCG manufacturing facility in the Nairobi region, you'll be the strategic driver ensuring that technology supports uninterrupted mill performance and sustained business growth. What You'll Own You'll develop and enforce IT policies and operational procedures that protect the organization's technology assets and performance standards. You'll maintain comprehensive IT asset, risk, and compliance registers while monitoring IT risks systematically. Infrastructure management falls squarely under your remit—optimizing both cloud and on-premise environments to deliver peak performance. You'll champion high availability for critical ERP and production systems including DigiERP, Famsun, Pingle, and Agrihub, working proactively to prevent downtime that impacts mill operations. Vendor relationships and SLA enforcement are key responsibilities. You'll coordinate with third-party partners, manage contracts strategically, and hold them accountable to service levels. Disaster recovery readiness, business continuity planning, and periodic evaluation of DR procedures will be routine priorities. You'll oversee the IT Helpdesk system, establishing robust ticketing, escalation protocols, and root cause analysis processes. Change management governance and user acceptance testing approvals ensure controlled, quality system changes. Access management controls—role-based access, multi-factor authentication, patching, and endpoint protection—will receive your focused attention. Compliance with Kenya's IT regulatory landscape, including the KDPA 2019, sits at the heart of your governance mandate. Finally, you'll prepare and manage the IT budget with discipline, ensuring cost-effective procurement and intelligent lifecycle management across all technology assets. What We're Looking For You bring a Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science with a Cloud Practitioner certification—AWS, Azure, or GCP. You demonstrate proven knowledge of ITIL processes spanning incident, change, and problem management. Your professional background includes 5 to 7 years in information technology roles, with 3 to 5 years of direct experience managing IT infrastructure and systems administration. An additional 2 to 3 years leading IT governance initiatives, managing vendor relationships, or overseeing technology projects rounds out your profile. You've navigated IT budgeting and cost optimization challenges successfully.
