Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive workforce capability and skills gap analyses, enhancing workforce planning initiatives, supporting critical organizational change efforts, and developing practical implementation tools and stakeholder engagement strategies. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how UNICEF structures and develops its workforce to better serve children and communities across Eastern and Southern Africa.

Your analytical capabilities are both quantitative and qualitative. You excel at reviewing complex documents, analyzing workforce data, conducting senior stakeholder interviews, facilitating focused consultations, and leading validation processes. Equally important is your ability to translate analytical findings into clear, decision-ready products, implementation roadmaps, and compelling executive presentations.
Your academic qualification is an advanced university degree in human resources, organizational development, change management, business administration, social sciences, or a closely related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree in a relevant field combined with at least two additional years of professional experience may be considered.
You communicate with excellence in written and spoken English and embody strategic thinking, collaborative leadership, strong communication skills, sound judgment, excellent planning abilities, and a results-oriented mindset. Above all, you demonstrate UNICEF's core values of Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Accountability, and Sustainability in your professional practice.
