INVENTORY AND STORES OFFICER About The Company Ideal Inks & Coatings Limited operates from Nairobi as a specialized manufacturer of solvent-based and water-based inks and coatings. The company supplies the printing and packaging industry across Kenya and Tanzania, serving as a trusted partner for quality products and reliable service. The Opportunity We are seeking a sharp, disciplined, and detail-oriented professional to take full ownership of our inventory and stores operations. This is a critical role that ensures the smooth flow of materials throughout our organization. You will oversee the custody, accuracy, movement, and complete reconciliation of raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress inventory, and finished goods across all business functions. What You Will Do You will receive and verify all incoming stock, ensuring quality and accuracy from the moment goods arrive. You will issue materials to the production department against approved work orders and manage the finished goods inventory with strict dispatch controls. Your responsibilities extend to conducting monthly stocktakes and performing regular spot checks to maintain inventory integrity. You will maintain accurate records in our ERP system and produce daily stock reports that keep all stakeholders informed. You will ensure proper stock security through FIFO compliance, implement robust documentation procedures, and collaborate effectively with Production, Accounts, Procurement, and Sales teams to keep operations running seamlessly. What We Are Looking For You hold a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Stores Management, Business Administration, or a related field. You have a minimum of two years' hands-on experience in stores or inventory management, ideally within a manufacturing environment. You demonstrate strong capabilities in documentation, reconciliation, and ERP systems. Above all, you possess high integrity, personal accountability, and meticulous attention to detail. Experience working with chemicals, paints, inks, or other industrial manufacturing environments is highly valued.
