Job Description

SOKIFY JOB POSTING Investment Analyst — Zamara Kenya Position Overview Join Zamara Kenya as an Investment Analyst and become a cornerstone of our Asset Consulting practice. This is a pivotal role where you will drive investment analysis and reporting for some of Kenya's largest institutional pension fund clients, directly influence strategic decision-making at the trustee level, and contribute to the firm's growing environmental, social and governance consulting mandate. Zamara is a Pan-African financial services powerhouse with over 30 years of heritage in Kenya. Operating across pensions, medical services, insurance and actuarial solutions with presence in eight countries, we are shaping the future of financial security across Africa. Our culture is built on Simplicity, Empathy and Trust, and we are committed to creating a financially secure and prosperous society. About You You bring at least three to four years of professional experience from investment consulting, fund management, actuarial consulting, institutional banking or pension fund management. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or a related field. CFA Level I or equivalent progress in CAIA or ICIFA is strongly preferred. What sets you apart is your analytical rigour — you interpret complex data, identify what truly matters and translate it into clear, actionable insights. You produce investment analysis and written commentary to the highest standard. You communicate investment concepts with confidence to boards, trustees and senior executives. You are organized under pressure, manage multiple concurrent deliverables seamlessly, and take genuine pride in client interactions. You are intellectually curious about markets, regulation and investment trends, and you connect global developments to the Kenyan context. Most importantly, you are ambitious — you see this role as your foundation for growing into a consulting manager position. What You Will Do You will own the preparation and delivery of quarterly and monthly investment reports for a diversified portfolio of pension fund clients, including major institutional mandates. Your analytical responsibilities include transaction-level analysis, performance attribution, detailed asset allocation reviews, and manager performance assessments. You will review alternative investment opportunities and provide written commentary. You will prepare Investment Policy Statements aligned with RBA guidelines and client-specific objectives, and develop market updates, thematic investment notes and capacity-building materials for client teams. You will be a visible presence in Investment Committee and Board of Trustee meetings, presenting analysis with clarity and confidence. You will build strong professional relationships with client contacts, fund managers and scheme administrators. You will lead meeting preparation including board packs, agendas and pre-meeting briefings, and manage ad hoc client requests with efficiency and proactivity. You will play an active role in our ESG consulting mandate, preparing deliverables, attending project meetings and developing responsible investment frameworks tailored to African institutional investors. You will support business development for future ESG and thematic consulting opportunities. Within the team, you will provide feedback on work produced by junior analysts, contribute to quarterly industry reports and thought leadership publications, and champion the adoption of AI tools and efficient workflows. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of the Kenyan pension regulatory environment — RBA framework, IPS requirements and asset class guidelines — is a strong advantage, though not essential for the right candidate. Experience presenting investment information to clients, boards or senior stakeholders strengthens your application. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency is expected; familiarity with data tools or AI productivity platforms is a plus. Application Deadline Submit your application by 07 July 2026.
