Job Title: IT Expert Company: INSIGHT AXIS AFRICA LIMITED About The Role You'll be the architect and custodian of our technology infrastructure, building and maintaining the digital systems that power our research operations. Your work will span everything from data collection platforms and cloud infrastructure to analytics engines and cybersecurity frameworks. You'll be the technical backbone that enables our teams to collect, analyse and protect data safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy and optimise mobile data collection solutions using platforms such as ODK, KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO and CommCare Architect and manage cloud infrastructure components including databases, dashboards, file storage systems and workflow automations Develop and maintain internal web tools, APIs and analytics dashboards that serve the organisation's research needs Establish and enforce cybersecurity protocols, data protection standards and robust backup procedures across all systems Deliver advanced IT support (L2/L3 level) to teams across the organisation, troubleshooting complex technical issues Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related field Minimum 4 years of professional experience with demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure Proficiency in database administration and management Strong programming capabilities in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and SQL Hands-on experience with business intelligence and data visualisation tools including Power BI, Tableau, Looker or Metabase Working knowledge of GDPR and Kenya Data Protection Act requirements Familiarity with statistical and data analysis tools such as R, Stata or SPSS is advantageous How to Apply Submit your application online through the provided form.
