Job Description
KENYA COUNTRY LEAD - BORDER SECURITY PROGRAMME
About Mercy Corps
Mercy Corps is a globally recognized organization dedicated to creating lasting positive change in some of the world's most challenging environments. Operating across more than 40 countries, we partner with communities to develop innovative solutions that help people overcome adversity and build resilient societies. Our work spans disaster response, development initiatives, and systemic change efforts.
In East Africa, Mercy Corps maintains a significant presence with country offices across Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, and Ethiopia. Our focus centers on addressing the underlying causes of poverty and inequality while strengthening systems that enable all community members—regardless of gender or age—to access meaningful opportunities, engage in democratic processes, and adapt to environmental and social changes.
We achieve this through integrated programming that enhances market systems and governance frameworks, tackles root causes of conflict, and empowers vulnerable populations including youth, women, adolescents, and marginalized groups. By providing skills development, economic opportunities, and leadership support, we create pathways for individuals and communities to thrive.
