The Role We are seeking a KYC Analyst to join our team in a full-time, remote position focused on customer support and onboarding. You will serve as a critical guardian of platform safety by reviewing and verifying customer and worker documentation against internal policies, regulatory requirements, and sanctions screening standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities include conducting thorough due diligence checks, analyzing user information, and flagging potential risks or suspicious activity for investigation. You will partner directly with our customer support team to guide users through onboarding, clarify requirements, and resolve verification issues with professionalism and efficiency. Additionally, you will maintain precise records, contribute insights for process improvements, and collaborate across product, operations, and finance teams to strengthen the security and reliability of our platform. What We're Looking For You bring strong analytical capabilities, interpreting data to identify patterns and evaluate risk within customer profiles and documentation. Your written and verbal communication is clear and professional, enabling you to interact effectively with users and colleagues in a remote setting. You have hands-on experience executing due diligence and KYC protocols, including customer identification, verification, and enhanced due diligence procedures. You understand finance-related fundamentals and are familiar with sanctions screening and compliance frameworks. You demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, sharp organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple cases and competing priorities without losing quality. You work proficiently with digital tools including CRM systems, ticketing platforms, and spreadsheet software, and you're comfortable in technology-driven environments. You operate independently with sound judgment while collaborating seamlessly across distributed, cross-functional teams. You hold a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, economics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in KYC, compliance, or risk operations. Experience in marketplace, fintech, or financial services environments—particularly with Kenyan regulatory and KYC context—is a valuable plus.
