SOKIFY JOB POSTING POSITION: Last Mile Delivery, Gender and Emobility Consultant EMPLOYER: United Nations Office at Nairobi LOCATION: Nairobi, Nairobi County, Kenya POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a consultant to join the Sustainable Mobility Unit and contribute to meaningful work on sustainable delivery systems and gender-focused electric mobility initiatives. Working directly under the Programme Management Officer for Gender, you will develop strategic deliverables that advance the Deliver-E Coalition's mission toward zero-emission food and grocery delivery solutions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will produce and deliver comprehensive outputs including: A detailed report that clearly defines third-party logistics, self-delivery models, individual contractors, and full-service providers to create consistent understanding across Deliver-E Coalition stakeholders. Six in-depth case studies capturing lessons learned and identifying common themes in zero-emission food and grocery delivery operations. Four distinct outreach and communication products designed to promote Deliver-E Coalition activities. A strategic communications plan with launch concepts for the Deliver-E Baseline Assessment initiative. A comprehensive proposal for a dedicated Deliver-E Coalition event at COP31. A concept document for a zero-emission delivery city guidebook to guide urban implementation strategies. A communications booklet for the UNEP Global Electric Mobility Programme showcasing country-level projects with results, impacts, and lessons learned tailored for external audiences. A targeted communication campaign highlighting UNEP Global Electric Mobility programme achievements, results, and measurable impacts. Logistical and organizational support for two gender-focused events under the BMZ "E-Mobility as a Driver for Change" programme (locations: India and Nairobi). Maintenance and enhancement of gender-focused data collection systems and databases, ensuring quality and broad accessibility. Technical support updating the Global Electric Mobility Programme website and web platforms. Development assistance for the Used EV and Battery End-of-Life Regulatory Toolbox targeting Low and Middle Income Countries. Webpage development support for the Used EVs and Battery end-of-life workstream and Global Partnership on EV Battery Circularity initiatives.
