Local Site Support Engineer – Nairobi Sokify is partnering with Solyssey to fill a Local Site Support Engineer position based in Nairobi. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for an IT professional ready to deliver hands-on technical support to end users in a dynamic office environment. Location: Eden Square, 00100 Nairobi, Kenya About the Role As a Local Site Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for IT issues at our client's location. You'll manage a wide range of technical support tasks, from troubleshooting devices to coordinating infrastructure upgrades. This position requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with senior support teams when needed. What You'll Do Deliver on-site IT support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices across the organization. Troubleshoot and resolve issues on Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Handle device provisioning and deprovisioning, including laptop and phone setup and configuration. Address end-user IT concerns and escalate complex issues to Level 2 support teams as appropriate. Provide office IT infrastructure support, including LAN and Wi-Fi troubleshooting, printer support, AV equipment maintenance, and general workplace technology solutions. Install, test, and support basic network devices such as switches, routers, and wireless access points. Manage hardware assets through the complete lifecycle – receiving, registering, tagging, testing, auditing, redeploying, and disposing of equipment. Support office relocations, hardware refresh initiatives, and company events as requested. Document all incidents and resolutions accurately to maintain clear support records. What We're Looking For Proven experience in Desktop Support, End User Computing, or Local Site Support roles. Hands-on technical expertise with hardware, software, networking, and user support. Strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication abilities. Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of customer service and support quality.
