POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a dedicated Matron to join our team and provide compassionate leadership in a learning institution environment. The Matron will serve as a nurturing yet authoritative presence, ensuring the wellbeing, discipline, and personal development of students while maintaining a supportive institutional culture. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS You will bring a Certificate or Diploma in Community Health or Nursing from an accredited institution, supported by valid First Aid Training certification. You must demonstrate maturity in age and judgment, with a minimum of five years' professional experience working within an educational setting. Your approach to student care combines firm boundaries with deep respect and compassion. You will excel at guidance and counselling—or bring a willingness to develop these skills—while maintaining meticulous records and coordinating daily institutional tasks efficiently. Your communication skills in both English and Kiswahili, both spoken and written, are essential. You will work effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds, handle sensitive situations with discretion, and remain patient and flexible when addressing the evolving needs of a dynamic student population.
