The company is actively implementing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) across global operations while maintaining strong focus on Agile methodologies and continuous improvement. Role Overview You will join the IOH Platform Team as a senior engineering contributor responsible for designing, building, and maintaining internal platforms, shared services, and technical tooling that empower product teams to deliver reliably and efficiently at scale. Operating within an Agile Release Train structure, this role bridges on-premises Windows Server infrastructure with evolving hybrid and cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities Platform Development and Architecture You will design and build shared platforms and services used across multiple IOH product teams. This includes partnering with product and delivery teams to identify operational challenges and translate them into reusable platform solutions. You own platform components end-to-end—from architectural decisions through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement cycles. You will support and enhance on-premises infrastructure within Cigna data centers while pragmatically evolving toward hybrid and cloud-based architectures. Your work will enable team-owned delivery by establishing paved roads, golden paths, and technical standards that enhance consistency and reduce friction. DevOps and Enablement Contributions Working in collaboration with the DevOps Center of Excellence, you will build and refine CI/CD proof-of-concepts, mature them into standardized solutions, and define technical standards and best practices. You will document platform solutions and support team adoption through training and knowledge transfer. Additionally, you will experiment with and mature AI-assisted development and DevOps tooling to stay at the forefront of industry innovation. Agile and SAFe Participation You will actively participate as a team member within the SAFe Agile Release Train, contributing to Program Increment objectives and ART-level priorities. This includes regular participation in PI Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Inspect & Adapt events. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, Architects, Security, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and drive continuous improvement. How Success Looks You take ownership and accountability for outcomes while structuring complex problems into clear, actionable steps. You balance immediate needs against long-term platform sustainability, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, and embrace continuous inspection, adaptation, and improvement as core professional practices. Qualifications and Requirements Educational Background Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Master's degree is advantageous.
