PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR AT SUN KING Department: Research & Procurement Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Tatu City, Kenya Reporting To: Senior Manufacturing Manager ABOUT THIS ROLE Sun King is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and manage the television and smartphone assembly operations. In this pivotal position, you will oversee all aspects of production floor management, from daily scheduling and workflow coordination to quality control and team development. Your expertise in electronic assembly processes, combined with your leadership abilities, will be essential in driving operational excellence, maintaining rigorous safety standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the production environment. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will direct day-to-day production floor operations, managing schedules, staffing allocation, and workflow to ensure seamless execution. You'll monitor production metrics and performance data to identify bottlenecks and implement effective corrective actions. Coordination with Materials Handling teams will ensure timely availability of raw materials and components needed for uninterrupted production. Your role includes championing workplace safety by enforcing all safety regulations and company policies to create a secure environment for all staff members. You will be responsible for training, coaching, and developing your production team, conducting regular performance reviews, and addressing any performance or behavioral concerns constructively. Working closely with engineering and quality assurance departments, you'll troubleshoot technical challenges, enhance product quality, and refine production processes. You will champion Kaizen principles and lean methodologies to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and continuously optimize operations. Your analytical skills will be demonstrated through preparing comprehensive production reports that track output, throughput, efficiency rates, and other key performance indicators. Additionally, you will support New Product Introduction initiatives, including staff training and trial production runs to ensure smooth transitions for new product lines. YOUR PROFESSIONAL PROFILE Ideal candidates will hold a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. You must bring a minimum of five years' experience in the electronics industry, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity. You will have demonstrated expertise in production supervision within electronics manufacturing, with solid understanding of CKD and SKD assembly processes and related technology. Your leadership capabilities enable you to inspire and motivate teams toward ambitious production targets. You possess comprehensive knowledge of production planning, scheduling methodologies, and inventory management best practices. Your analytical mindset excels at problem-solving and decision-making through root cause analysis, with a genuine commitment to continuous improvement. You communicate effectively across all organizational levels and build strong relationships with diverse teams. Your ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining composure in fast-paced, dynamic settings is a key strength. You demonstrate familiarity with quality management systems, lean manufacturing frameworks, and safety compliance requirements. Knowledge of Kaizen 6S principles and production equipment operation are valuable assets. Your comprehensive understanding of manufacturing safety protocols ensures all operations meet regulatory standards.
