PROTECTION COORDINATOR Danish Refugee Council Sokify is excited to feature this opportunity with the Danish Refugee Council, a leading humanitarian organization working across Kenya. ROLE OVERVIEW The Protection Coordinator serves as the technical authority for protection programming quality and acts as the country-level technical leader within Kenya's protection sector. This is a strategic position responsible for delivering comprehensive technical and programmatic support across all DRC and partner protection initiatives operating throughout our designated areas in Kenya. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will lead country-level protection analysis and develop comprehensive protection strategies that guide implementation across all operations. Your technical direction will shape how the organization and its partners deliver protection services throughout the complete programme cycle. Day-to-day, you will provide sectoral technical guidance and direct support to protection teams, deliver technical line supervision to protection staff, and oversee all protection-focused interventions. You will champion quality assurance across protection programming, ensuring full compliance with established protection sector standards. Your impact will extend to designing and executing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, building staff capacity through targeted training initiatives, developing practical protection tools for field teams, and crafting evidence-based advocacy messages that drive organizational impact. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR This role requires someone with deep technical expertise in protection programming and demonstrated ability to lead at the country level. You should bring strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to manage complex humanitarian operations. Experience supervising protection teams and developing sector-wide strategies is essential.
