You will join the Global Risk Management Cash Assistance Hub, situated within the Poverty Centre of Excellence Satellite in the Economic and Social Policy Section. This role supports strategic initiatives around child poverty, social protection, cash based assistance, public finance, and livelihoods programs. Your primary focus will be enabling country offices to scale up cash assistance during emergencies and facilitate direct payments to frontline workers through digital solutions. WHAT YOU WILL DO Reporting to the Beneficiary Data Manager, you will provide critical technical guidance and quality assurance for digital solutions supporting cash based assistance delivery. You will ensure architectural consistency and quality standards across the Humanitarian Cash Operations and Programme Ecosystem (HOPE) platform. Your key responsibilities include: Designing and scrutinizing technical solutions for cash based assistance programs in partnership with Programme and Information Communication Technology divisions; ensuring software components align with overall digital delivery strategy and technology standards. You will collaborate closely with development teams to oversee implementation while acting as a bridge between technology specialists and programme stakeholders. Conducting comprehensive code reviews of critical features and security protocols. You will evaluate technical constraints, identify process improvements, mitigate risks, and propose solutions when needed. Providing detailed technical evaluation of proposed solutions including software code, platforms, databases, and security measures against programmatic requirements and organizational standards. Mentoring software development teams to maintain quality and consistency in solution delivery.
