Job Description
ENTERPRISE INNOVATION CHALLENGE FOR JOBS CREATION FOR REFUGEES AND HOST COMMUNITIES IN KENYA
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
The International Labour Organization is launching an Enterprise Innovation Challenge aimed at driving sustainable job creation and economic opportunity for refugees and host communities across Kenya. This initiative reflects the ILO's commitment to fostering enterprise development as a cornerstone of inclusive economic growth and decent work.
THE VISION
The ILO collaborates with governments, employers, and workers' organizations to advance enterprise development that creates productive employment while supporting sustainable development. In Kenya, this work unfolds through the Kenya Decent Work Programme, which prioritizes human capital development, sustainable economic growth, and collaborative social dialogue to build economies that work for everyone.
YOUR ROLE
You will be instrumental in implementing this challenge within an operational framework that brings together partners committed to creating inclusive jobs and education opportunities. This assignment sits within a broader Partnership on Inclusive Jobs and Education for Host Communities, Refugees, and other Forcibly Displaced Persons, positioning you at the intersection of humanitarian support and economic empowerment.
WHY THIS MATTERS

Through this challenge, you will help identify, support, and scale innovative enterprise solutions that generate sustainable livelihoods, strengthen community resilience, and contribute to social cohesion. Your work will directly impact job creation, wealth building, and the establishment of inclusive economies where all individuals can contribute their talents.
WHAT WE SEEK
This is for mission-driven professionals ready to translate enterprise innovation into tangible economic outcomes for vulnerable populations in Kenya.
