THE OPPORTUNITY Renew Capital seeks an accomplished senior project manager to lead the planning, coordination and execution of high-profile private-sector and investment initiatives across Africa. You'll ensure projects remain on schedule, eliminate bottlenecks, maintain team alignment and drive execution excellence. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Project Planning and Execution Guide end-to-end planning and delivery of complex projects and portfolio-wide initiatives with clearly defined objectives, realistic timelines and transparent accountability structures. Design and operate comprehensive project and portfolio tracking frameworks incorporating key performance indicators, critical milestones and quantifiable success metrics. Continuously monitor advancement, surface risks promptly and resolve obstacles with confidence to keep initiatives on course. Maintain meticulous documentation of all workstreams with precision monitoring and reporting. Deliver focused, insight-driven updates for senior leadership, investors, funders and external collaborators. Process Optimization and Operational Efficiency Deploy leading project management methodologies to accelerate execution velocity. Refine internal workflows, systems and reporting mechanisms for continuous improvement. Construct and administer tracking systems, performance dashboards and analytical tools that strengthen visibility and accountability across the organization. Stakeholder Coordination and Communication Serve as the primary connection linking internal teams, investors, funders and external stakeholders. Facilitate collaborative sessions, resolve alignment issues and foster seamless working relationships. Author and present comprehensive reports, compelling presentations and strategic communications. Problem-Solving and Decision Support Apply methodical problem-solving frameworks to navigate execution obstacles. Conduct scenario analysis and data-driven investigation to inform senior leadership strategy and choices. Pinpoint and rectify execution gaps, team misalignment and operational inefficiencies. Performance Tracking and Reporting Establish and manage key performance indicators measuring project achievement. Deploy project tracking platforms and reporting structures delivering clear progress visibility. Supply concise, metrics-based updates for leadership and external partners. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE You bring at least five years of professional experience, preferably including tenure at a premier consulting organization or progressive roles managing complex, high-stakes initiatives. You demonstrate advanced project management capabilities with substantial success executing intricate undertakings involving multiple stakeholders. Your organizational abilities enable juggling competing demands within demanding environments. You excel at recognizing and removing execution bottlenecks while maintaining team and project cohesion. Your technical proficiency spans advanced PowerPoint and Excel applications, producing compelling reports, sophisticated presentations and financial models. You exhibit strong adaptability, emotional maturity and meticulous attention to detail. Your communication—both spoken and written—engages senior executives and funding partners effectively. You possess hands-on experience with project management platforms, OKRs, key performance indicators and performance management frameworks. Exposure to private-sector environments, startup ecosystems or donor-supported initiatives strengthens your candidacy.
