Position: Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst
Organization: International Rescue Committee
ABOUT THIS ROLE
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst to join our IT department and drive innovation in enterprise business systems. You'll be at the heart of our mission to restore safety, dignity, and hope to millions affected by conflict and disaster. This position offers the unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise with meaningful humanitarian impact, working on systems that support financial operations, supply chain management, and project delivery across more than 40 countries.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll lead the design and implementation of AI-powered solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, identifying high-value opportunities for automation and intelligent workflows that enhance critical business processes. Your work will span multiple domains: architecting integrations between D365 F&O and Azure AI services, configuring Copilot Studio and Power Automate to build autonomous agents, and implementing customizations that deliver measurable business value.
Collaboration forms the backbone of this role. You'll work closely with Business System Analysts, business users, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. You'll participate in design reviews, create and maintain technical documentation, conduct code reviews, and support testing efforts across functional, user acceptance, and regression phases. Your expertise will extend to Level 3 support for enterprise systems, troubleshooting complex issues and coordinating with both internal teams and external vendors to drive resolution.
Beyond day-to-day implementation work, you'll stay ahead of emerging technologies and AI capabilities relevant to enterprise business systems. You'll evaluate new vendor offerings, assess technical feasibility, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders. You'll also manage vendor relationships, coordinate system updates and new implementations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across finance, supply chain, HR, and other operational functions while ensuring alignment with organizational policies, security standards, and compliance requirements.
YOUR BACKGROUND
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with at least five years of hands-on experience developing with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. You have strong proficiency in X++ programming language, SQL Server, and T-SQL database operations. You're experienced in gathering and analyzing cross-functional business and technical requirements, with proven expertise in enterprise system testing, SSRS, Power BI, or comparable reporting tools.
Your experience includes system administration and change management in global or multi-site environments. You excel at communicating complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences, paying meticulous attention to detail while maintaining strong active listening and analytical thinking skills. You work effectively both independently and collaboratively, building and maintaining relationships across organizational levels.
AI AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGY EXPERTISE
This position requires hands-on experience implementing and extending Copilot and AI agent capabilities within Dynamics 365 F&O, including configuring autonomous workflows and understanding the Model Context Protocol for tool and data integration. You should have practical knowledge of Azure AI services integration with D365 F&O, including Azure OpenAI Service and Azure AI Services, and experience with AI-driven process automation tools such as AI Builder, Copilot Studio, and intelligent document processing.
You understand large language model concepts, including prompt engineering techniques for enterprise applications, and can evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and business relevance. You're familiar with Retrieval-Augmented Generation patterns and how enterprise data can be leveraged to ground AI outputs in organizational context. Equally important, you're aware of responsible AI principles, including data privacy, bias mitigation, output validation, and AI governance frameworks as they apply to sensitive humanitarian data and multi-region compliance requirements.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations certification, experience with the Power Platform ecosystem including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio for building AI-driven workflows and custom agents, and experience working in the NGO or nonprofit sector, particularly in distributed or low-bandwidth environments.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This position operates from a standard office environment with some international travel as needed. You'll report directly to the Director of Enterprise System Application and work with a global team dedicated to humanitarian impact.
