Job Description
SPECIALIST, PROJECT MANAGEMENT
WWF International is recruiting a Specialist, Project Management to join the Director General's Office on a 6-month contract basis. This is a flexible role with preferred locations at WWF International hubs.
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
WWF operates as an independent conservation organisation with a presence in more than 100 countries, dedicated to sustaining the natural world for the benefit of people and ecosystems. The organisation tackles the most pressing drivers of nature loss by driving system-wide changes in food production, energy consumption, and financial structures. WWF brings together diverse teams spanning conservation science, advocacy, human resources, and finance to deliver on-the-ground and global policy action that protects species, restores habitats, and transforms markets toward sustainability.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Director General's Office requires a capable project management specialist to provide comprehensive project coordination, strategic support, and executive assistance during a critical period. You will work closely with the Special Advisor to the Director General, ensuring effective delivery across a broad portfolio of initiatives while providing dedicated support for the development of the WWF International Strategic Plan. Your contributions will include developing executive correspondence, preparing high-level presentations, and facilitating strategic engagement across the organisation.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role will span four key areas. First, you will oversee project coordination and strategic oversight across dozens of active projects and priorities, coordinating weekly reviews, maintaining consolidated trackers, monitoring progress against deadlines, and preparing summary dashboards and briefing notes. Second, you will manage two major initiatives: the development of the WWF International Strategic Plan and a Network Working Group on Roadmap 2030, maintaining workplans, coordinating meetings and consultations, and ensuring timely delivery from workstream leads and stakeholders. Third, you will handle correspondence and content development, drafting and editing communications, coordinating input collection from colleagues, and preparing materials for governance and leadership meetings. Finally, you will provide administrative support including database maintenance, calendar management, document organisation, and meeting logistics.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience with a minimum of 5 years in project coordination, project management, executive support, administration, or a related field. You demonstrate exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while tracking progress across numerous projects. Your organisational skills and attention to detail are exemplary, supported by excellent written communication abilities in English. You are highly proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Planner. Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams is highly desirable.
Beyond qualifications, you possess strong project tracking and follow-through capabilities, excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination. You handle sensitive information with sound judgement and discretion, maintain high levels of organisation and reliability, and bring a proactive, service-oriented approach to every task. You embrace the WWF mission and organisational values of Courage, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
You will report to the Special Advisor to the Director General and work closely with colleagues in the Director General's Office, Governance & Network Engagement, and Executive Team offices. You will engage with senior leadership, subject matter experts, and colleagues involved in strategic planning and governance processes. External interactions may include WWF Network colleagues, external consultants, service providers, and other stakeholders as required.
TO APPLY
Submit your covering letter and CV in English. Priority consideration will be given to applications containing both documents. The application deadline is 28 August 2026. Work permit restrictions may apply. Early application is encouraged as reviews will continue throughout the advertising period, and the advert may close early.
