KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As our Quality Assurance Specialist based in Nairobi, Kenya, you will oversee critical quality functions throughout our production lifecycle: Manage fit approvals, pre-production approvals and related approval meetings while conducting inline and final inspections across all production runs. Monitor production work-in-progress, identifying and escalating challenges to Asia and North America leadership teams. Document and communicate inspection findings for each production order to our head office, ensuring complete transparency on quality metrics. Execute comprehensive packaging inspections covering component quality, execution standards and sticker placement. Prepare and disseminate daily quality inspection reports while maintaining accurate WIP tracking systems. Coordinate quality assurance activities directly with factory partners, incorporating licensor and customer requirements alongside detailed packing instructions. Conduct factory audits, develop corrective action plans and oversee their implementation. Track approvals for color matching, bulk fabric and trim specifications. Manage samples and special requests in collaboration with product development and design teams. Review inspection reports, support problem resolution efforts and ensure ongoing compliance through systematic onboarding and corrective action protocols. Collaborate with vendor allocation and sourcing teams on strategic decisions. Verify and transmit official purchase orders to factories, updating delivery schedules in SAP systems. Coordinate with sales departments regarding order quantities, delivery timelines, direct shipment arrangements and any related booking issues. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE You bring proven experience in quality assurance within textile or apparel manufacturing environments. Your background includes demonstrated knowledge of garment construction, fabrication techniques, trim specifications and print processes. You possess creativity alongside technical capability and genuine sensibility for textile products, staying current with industry-leading QA and QC practices and methodologies. Your professional strengths include exceptional multitasking ability, consistent deadline achievement and meticulous attention to detail. You communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with proficiency across Microsoft Office, Adobe products and advanced Excel functions. You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Textile Science, Fashion Technology or a closely related field.
