ABOUT MMT ALLIANCE
MMT Alliance is an Australian-owned procurement, logistics, supply chain, and consulting company with a global reach. Operating in some of the world's most challenging environments, we partner with governments, UN agencies, NGOs, and development organisations to deliver innovative solutions across procurement, logistics, construction, ICT, and humanitarian sectors.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a well-connected professional to join our Nairobi team and drive strategic business development across East Africa. As our Strategic Partnerships & UN/NGO Engagement Specialist, you will leverage your established networks within the UN, NGO, donor, and government sectors to uncover new opportunities, forge meaningful relationships, and position MMT Alliance for continued growth and partnership success.
Your mission is to serve as a bridge between MMT Alliance and the humanitarian, development, and government communities—identifying tenders, securing strategic introductions, and supporting our expansion across key sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and nurture relationships with UN agencies, NGOs, donor organisations, embassies, government institutions, and development partners throughout East Africa.
Identify and pursue upcoming tenders, framework agreements, procurement opportunities, and strategic partnerships aligned with our service offerings.
Arrange meetings, introductions, and capability presentations with procurement teams, programme managers, and key decision-makers.
Represent MMT Alliance at conferences, networking events, donor forums, and industry meetings to strengthen our visibility and reputation.
Gather and analyse market intelligence on upcoming projects, procurement plans, and funding opportunities within the sectors we serve.
Identify and establish consortium, joint venture, and local implementation partnerships where appropriate.
Showcase MMT Alliance's capabilities in procurement, logistics, consulting, construction, ICT, humanitarian support, and supply chain solutions.
Support business development, market-entry strategies, and tender positioning initiatives across East Africa.
Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and deliver regular progress reports to management.
Strengthen MMT Alliance's reputation and presence within UN, NGO, donor, and government networks.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You have a minimum of 3 years' experience in business development, partnerships, procurement, or donor-funded projects.
You possess an established, active network within UN agencies, NGOs, donors, government institutions, or similar sectors.
You demonstrate exceptional communication, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
You have experience with lobbying, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
You understand grant and fund management, project implementation, and business strategy.
You hold a Diploma or Associate's degree (or equivalent professional qualification).
You are based in or willing to relocate to Nairobi, Kenya.
As part of your application, you must describe your existing UN, NGO, donor, and government network and provide specific examples of opportunities, partnerships, tenders, or contracts you have helped secure.
