VIDEO EDITOR DANE STUDIO Location: On-Site, Nairobi County, Kenya Reports To: Chief Executive Officer Employment Type: Full-Time ABOUT DANE STUDIO Dane Studio is a buyer acquisition agency based in Nairobi that specializes in creating high-performing paid advertising campaigns. We produce video content that converts real results — moving real estate units, electronics, internet subscriptions, and more. Our creative standard is uncompromising. We study and benchmark against global leaders like Alex Hormozi, Nike, and the world's most successful direct-to-consumer brands. THE ROLE We are looking for 2 Video Editors who will cut paid advertisements, product videos, case study content, and founder/CEO talking-head videos across 5+ active client accounts. Your work will drive measurable results across multiple platforms. You'll be expected to deliver at speed and maintain the highest creative standard without compromise. WHAT YOU NEED TO DELIVER You understand video storytelling through the lens of viewer retention and audience engagement. You think in hooks, pacing, and attention curves — not just technical cuts and transitions. You've edited content that performed on Meta, TikTok, YouTube, or similar platforms, and you can articulate why a viewer stayed or dropped off at any given moment. Your core competencies include: Editing proficiency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve with the ability to work at pace Production speed — delivering both 30-second ads and 3-minute case studies within a single day Full post-production capability including sound design, basic motion graphics, and color grading, all handled in-house Script-to-timeline improvement — reading a brief and enhancing it during the editing process Reliable deadline delivery without requiring follow-up or escalation WHAT WE'RE NOT LOOKING FOR Editors who use sound effects or motion graphics as visual filler Team members who cannot interpret a creative brief and execute independently Anyone prone to disappearing when technical challenges arise, including late-night render failures COMPENSATION AND WORK STRUCTURE Monthly Salary: KES 50,000 We operate on a performance-based compensation model. Your base salary is guaranteed, and a clear pathway exists for bonus earnings directly tied to video performance metrics. Strong execution translates to increased earnings. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM We maintain a Focus & Output operational model. We expect concentrated, high-quality execution during your 45 working hours each week. Overtime is not routine — we view it as an indicator of either poor focus or planning issues, neither of which we accept. You'll be expected to deliver results within standard hours while respecting professional boundaries.
