Terms & Conditions — Sokify

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sokify ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the service.

2. Description of Service

Sokify is an online classified advertisements marketplace that allows users to post, browse, and respond to classified advertisements in Kenya. We act as an intermediary platform and do not directly participate in transactions between buyers and sellers.

3. User Accounts

You must register for an account to post ads. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

4. Free and Paid Listings

Each registered user receives five (5) free ad listings. Additional listings require the purchase of a paid package. Paid packages include Basic (KSH 999 / 10 ads), Premium (KSH 1,500 / 20 ads), VIP (KSH 2,500 / 40 ads), and VIP Gold (KSH 5,500 / 70 ads). Listing slots are non-transferable and expire as specified in your chosen package.

5. Prohibited Content

You may not post advertisements for: illegal goods or services; counterfeit or stolen items; weapons, explosives, or hazardous materials; adult or obscene content; content that violates any applicable law or regulation; misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive listings. Sokify reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these terms without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on the Platform are owned by or licensed to Sokify. You retain ownership of content you post but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote your listings on the Platform.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listings. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items advertised, or for the truth or accuracy of listings.

8. Limitation of Liability

Sokify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or any transaction between users. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the six months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms & Conditions, engage in fraudulent behaviour, or for any other reason we deem appropriate. You may delete your account at any time through the account settings page.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
